Tapasya Corp-Heights
Site area – 6600 sq.m.
More than 21000 sq.m. of leasable office space in the form of 3000 sq.m. floor plates over seven floors, located on the Noida-Greater Noida expressway in the NCR of India.
The building is designed in the form of a single massive hollowed out cuboid. The cuboid is connected along its length, on one long side to form a single connected floor plate. The opposite long face is divided into 3 faces by making two indents, which house 2 service towers, with vertical transport (stairs and elevators), common hygiene facilities and engineering spines for electrical, communications and HVAC. Tap-offs are provided on each floor for users to design their internal facilities.
The building mass accentuates gravity and stability by its simple yet massive, cuboidal look. At the same time vertical service towers subtly offset the gravity and the hollowed out interior, through the transparent structural glazing, offsets the massiveness of the structure.
Locally occuring Natural sandstone stone cladding helps integrate with the Indian context, while the use of structural glazing opens up the interior of the building, in resonance with the present open environment of the Indian economy.
Use of building orientation, self shading by intelligent modulation of the surface, high performance glass and natural stone with dry fixing and cavity, reduce the heat load of the building, reducing the operational cost to the operator and the user.
