A software production facility for Nagarro Sotware – Part of the Algiers Group- A Germany based multi-interest group. The facility was concieved as a complex of 3 inter-connected buildings, which will come up and be operational in a sequential phased manner.
The individual buildings are designed as ultra efficient and flexible working floors. The floors are large empty rectangular halls with no internal partitions, with all services inside a false floor so that interior layouts may be changed as per requirement with little effort.
All utilities, vertical transport and hygiene services are located in two service towers,each of which connects to two buildings. The individual buildings connect to these service towers hence avoiding disturbing the existing building when the subsequent phases are constructed. These service towers form the interconnection between the buildings as well as between the whole complex and the outside.
The massing of the individual building accentuates horizontal planes of the floors suspended over Stilt floors, in between two massive vertical elements. The long horizontal projected boxes till window cill are hollow masonry elements with insulation inside. They cut the direct sun by virtue of being projected and prevent heat transfer from outside to inside due to the cavity and the insultation.
The building is designed to meet LEED Platinum criteria and conserves energy and material by using orientation, thermal insulation, cool roofs, high performance glazing, intelligent sun shading, recycled material and intelligent HVAC planning.
